CleanBC Enery Savings Program Rebate Overview for Window and Door Upgrades in BC
Rebate Amount: Homeowners can receive up to $9,500, with a maximum of $950 per window or door.
Eligibility: Available to B.C. residents living in eligible homes who meet income qualification requirements and have residential utility accounts with BC Hydro, FortisBC, or a municipal utility.
Application Deadline: The application and supporting documents must be submitted within six months of the invoice date.
Income Qualifications
- The rebate is based on the combined income of all adults in the household.
- Only participants registered as income levels 1 or 2 in the CleanBC Better Homes Energy Savings Program can qualify for window and door upgrades.
Home Requirements
To be eligible, your home must meet the following criteria:
- Primary Residence: The property should be your year-round primary residence, at least 12 months old.
- Assessed Value: Homes must have a total assessed value at or under $1,230,000. If above this value, participants will be considered income level 3.
- Utility Accounts: You must have a residential utility account in your name with FortisBC, BC Hydro, or a municipal utility.
- Home Type: Eligible housing types include:
- Single-family homes
- Secondary suites with separate meters
- Permanently fixed mobile homes
- Duplexes, triplexes, and townhomes with separate meters.
If renting, a landlord consent form is required.
